SCOPE AND MOTIVATION

As the world continues to witness an ever-increasing demand for faster and more reliable connectivity, the next frontier of wireless communication, 6G, is on the horizon. While 5G networks are still being rolled out, researchers and industry experts are already envisioning the possibilities that 6G will bring. Anticipated to be the next leap in wireless technology, 6G aims to redefine the boundaries of communication by promising unprecedented data speeds, ultra-low latency, and the ability to connect a vast number of devices seamlessly. With its potential to revolutionize industries, enable transformative applications, and cater to the evolving needs of an interconnected world, 6G is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of wireless communications.

The workshop on "Selected Topics in 6G Wireless Communications" aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to explore and discuss the latest advancements in 6G wireless technology. As we transition towards the sixth generation of wireless communications, new and exciting opportunities are emerging with a myriad of technological breakthroughs. This workshop will focus on selected topics that are shaping the landscape of 6G wireless communications, ranging from AI/ML applications, quantum communication integration, spectrum allocation to advanced physical layer technologies like THz/mmWave/FSO wireless communication, hybrid optical/RF/THz systems, holographic MIMO, non-terretial networks and more. Participants will have the opportunity to share their research findings, exchange ideas, and collaborate to push the boundaries of 6G wireless technology.

Through interactive sessions, technical paper presentations, and expert keynote addresses, participants will be empowered to share their groundbreaking research findings, engage in vibrant discussions, and forge collaborations that will collectively propel the boundaries of 6G wireless technology.
