Women In Engineering (WiE)

IEEE ANTS is a premier IEEE conference on advanced networking and telecommunications topics. IEEE ANTS is financially and technically supported by IEEE Communications Society. The distinguishing characteristic of IEEE ANTS is the promotion of an intense dialogue between academia and industry to bridge the gap between academic research, industry initiatives, and governmental policies. This is fostered through panel discussions, keynotes, invited talks, and industry exhibits, where academia is exposed to state-of-the-practices and results from trials and interoperability experiments. This year the theme is "Ubiquitous networking for seamless connectivity." IEEE ANTS 2023 will be held at the MNIT, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

IEEE Women in Engineering (WiE) is a global network of IEEE members and volunteers dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists with a goal to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. Keeping with the IEEE WiE pledge to work towards gender-diversified panels at all IEEE conferences, IEEE ANTS 2023 presents a separate WiE track for paper presentations. To submit the paper to this track, the first author of the paper and the presenter (can be non-Ist author) must be a female. Authors can submit short (4 pages) and regular (6 pages)papers that contain original material which is not currently communicated/submitted/under-review in other conferences or journals, and has not been previously published.

Paper Submissions

To submit the paper to this track, the first author of the paper and the presenter (can be non-Ist author) must be a female. Authors of accepted papers are expected to physically come and present the paper. The Call for Papers for WIE Track is the same as the main conference theme and the papers should be submitted through WIE Track on EDAS. Authors can submit short (4 page) and regular (6 pages) papers on research and development focusing on (but not limited to) the following thrust areas:

Please refer to the main call for papers for the WiE track paper topics.

IEEE ANTS 2023 will feature workshops, tutorials, and panel discussions, co-located with the main technical conference. Complimentary access to ANTS CAREER ZONE will be provided to all the participating individuals and sponsors. IEEE ANTS will present BEST PAPER AWARDS for each track during the conference. Several travel grants are available for conference attendees and authors. More details available on the conference website. The authors of the selected (accepted) papers will be invited to submit the extended versions of the papers to the special issues of Springer Nature's journals, namely, Wireless Personal Communications and Photonic Network Communications.

Message from the WiE Chairs

The International Conference on Advanced Networks and Telecommunication Systems (IEEE ANTS 2023) conference theme is "Ubiquitous networking for seamless connectivity." The great strengths of IEEE ANTS conferences is its ability to attract a diverse group of researchers and professionals working in both academics and industry together, once a year, to exchange ideas and research on various topics that aim to bridge the gap between academic research, industry initiatives, and governmental policies.

The Women in Engineering (WiE), an affinity group of IEEE, is a special community of faculty, industry leaders, future engineers and scientists coming together to create a vision for a better future. At this year’s IEEE ANTS WiE track, we expect women from across the telecom and networking space have come forward to share their technical expertise in varied research issues such as Wireless and Optical Communication Networks, Emerging Technologies such as Quantum Computing, Nano-Networking, etc., to make a positive difference in the related domains.
